Im in germany for a science conference....
Rented a Class with a turbo diesel. Well the economy is amazing the driveability isnt. On off switch turbo, runs out of revs by 4000 rpm when the soft limite starts clamping down... sure on the hiway 5.5 L per 100 are the norm... But is it worth it.. BTW over here diesel is 1.09 euro a litre.. and unleaded 1.30... so cheap..... Diesel is so cheap you might as awell rub it all over your body... |

So tell us how do the Autobahns compare to our Freeways and what do the majority of Germans drive over there,i would imagine that they would generally be driving smaller cars over there because of the high cost of fuel.
Cheers John

you'd be surprised gtp, mostly they drive mercs and bmer's and audi's but they are mostly e class,5 series and A6's but are still using diesal engines. And you do see the odd german muscle car.EDIT:and a ****** load of those smart cars.
As for driving,i was to scared you could say driving on the wrong side of the road in the passenger seat. Where you stayin at iphido?when i was there i stayed about 30mins away from frankfurt . what beers have you tried over there yet?try a beer called kostrika..beautiful beer over there, wish i was there with the old man again.
