Default AFF Raid takes the award

Just got a message in from XA Coupe that the guys who are on the AFF Raid just took out the best club award at Sandown today.

Congratulations to those that attended and spent most of yesterday and I dare say this morning cleaning.

Another milestone in AFF History

Just have to wait till they get home tonight for pics...

woo hoo .... nice work.
Would have loved to have made it to the RAID ... but it's too close to the wedding (plus work commitments this weekend as well) for me to have made it.

I thought that was Rob (Raptor) in those photos.
Just goes to show the difference between a standard Territory and a decked & rimmed Terrritory.

Where was dinner at ????

I'm going to get the spelling wrong, but it was a place called lamours in Caulfield.

Spoolman and I made light work of the mixed grill platter, and even called for the other end of the table to send their almost full platter our way.

I pretty sure he took a picture of the remains of some 20 chicken wings and 300 ribs..

A huge thanks to Ian from Raceline Promotions for allowing us a great position and for the trophy. It's good to see that the effort gets appreciated !

Another HUGE thanks to all AFF people that came down and participated. I would try to thank you all but I would get a cramp. People really pitched in and helped which made it the whole thing easier. Usually I have something that gets up my nose during the day but this time there was absolutely nothing .. everyone did the forums proud and advanced our reputation hugely.

The biggest thanks goes to Nicole, Mrs XA, for setting this up and getting us the extra spots, not to mention the tireles work blowing up the baloons and organising the whole shebang.

I have some pics, once I get them off the camera and uploaded I'll post them.

A great day !

Well done guys, all who organised and all who attended

Last time we were at Limor's Mark was a big fan of Felafel Balls in the meat tray, I'm sure he made light work of them yet again lol

Thanks Craig, but stop being so modest. For those that don't know, Craig had his funny car on display with the DRIVA group and they won an special mention award for their display.

Thanks to everyone who attended today and made the display so good. We had a great balance of different cars, as well as people from different parts of the forums with members from both e-series and aufalcon joining us for the day. And whats more, everyone got on famously. It was really great to see.

Thanks to Ian from Raceline Promotions for allowing us to display, and for giving us the best location in the whole car show. Also thanks for giving us over 40 free entrys today and 10 yesterday. I believe we were one of the few clubs to be extended this fantastic offer.

Ian was very impressed by our display. He actually had comments from other clubs that they had never realised how good a club display could look until they saw ours today. There was not going to be any trophies for the day, but after seeing the effort we were going to, Ian went out yesterday and had some trophies made !!!! We really impressed him.

A big thank you goes to XA Coupe and Melz and all great helpers I had during the day, especially Superoo, Filthy GTP, Spoolman, Outback Ute, as well as many others. Your help with the balloons was a lifesaver.

It was great to meet so many new faces today, and I look forward to seeing you again next week at the drags.

Oh and the dinner at Limor's was brilliant as usual. I am still full !!!!!!
