Hey guys,
A lot of you seem to have this mod done (XR6T, BA, Tickford etc onto AUII) I rang a dealer for a price and mentioned what I wanted to do. They came back with You can't, you need new airbox, hoses and so on and such.......AU is so different you can't do it..... Does this just connect up easily or is there reworking to be done to fit it. Also does anyone know the part no of the XR6T snorkel. From what I have read this is the best one to add (correct?). Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

The XR6T snorkal is the same as the Tickford snorkal but without the wings. Bulldust to the snorkal being different and needing a new airbox.

no adjustments. next time just ask for a XR6T intake snorkel- and DONT mention that you are putting it on an AU, cause these tools sound like they are gonna slog ya big time...

I picked up an xr6t snorkel for my au last friday but i had to order it in and it took just over 2 weeks for it to arrive. Expect this for when you order yours. Part number is BA9A624A. Price, $36.20. Before you put it on look at both snorkels and remember what they told you about needing a whole new airbox...

LOL, never tell them what its for.
When I purchased it, the guys asked me and I refused to answer. When they finally handed me he part, I payed for it and told him I was fitting it to an AU. they gorked and told me it wouldn't fit. I never had a problem fitting it. And it looks fine

if your lucky like most of us it''ll fit straight in no probs, the only problem some people have had is that you may need to trim a little off the sides of the mouth so that it doesn't bow when putting the screws in or the other problem is the screw holes not lining up. Nothing major but.

Looks like an ELGT one to me so not much point in getting an XR6T one as you won't notice any difference. Xr6T snorkels don't quite line up properly in e-series so you need to drill a new hole being careful not to go into the radiator
