Default Has anyone put driving (fog) in their AU XR Series 2/3?

G'day all, from the day I got her, I've wanted to put driving lights in the ST. I've noticed that there aren't any Series 2/3 AU XR's with driving lights in the standard XR front bar. Is there a specific reason for this? But, I do want to know if there is anyone who has done it, if so, I'd love to see some pics.

Yes, there is a specific reason for this. Provided your headlights are correctly adjusted the standard _Oo===oO_ work fine without additional lighting.

On highbeam they literally turn night into day without any assistance at all.

Having said that, some AUII/III XR ownere have installed foglights into the "aesthetic brake ducts".

You can only fit smallish ones - you can't go very big because of the metal structure that sits behind the front bar.

I think he wants the lights for the look. My old car had fog lights and the front profile looked much nicer at night that my AU's does.

I think he wants them cos his mate's SS has them. They are totally unnecessary on an AU, though I do have real (yellow) fog lights on my AU1 XR - mainly because I work near the airport, and at least half the mornings in winter are foggy here in sunny (!) Canberra.

AWC XR50 front Bumper. The best of both worlds. Quad Headlamp XR top with TS50 lower bumper. Looks ace!

As much as it looks nice, i'm not going the XR50 front bar. I want the foglights because it looks better (read more intimidating to other drivers) than just headlights. I can't stand looking at the front with those unused 'brake ducts.' I'm gonna look at getting the right set so it looks right. I've alos found a plastic that i can use as a cover for them. Its really similar to the front indicator covers so it'll look natural. I was concerned that there may be a specific bit of legislation that prevented the S2/3 XR front bar from having driving lights.
