I'm getting a hum from the back of the car ( sounds like bearings ?)
when reaching around 80kmh and up only when accelerating I have changed the oil in the diff has anyone else had this problem? |

eliminate the wheel bearings by replacing them first.
It also could be a small crack/hole on the rear muffler, I've encounter the sound your describing only at 80+ km when theres pressure & on 3rd gear. |

I have replaced the Diff oil today to fords standards but no change in noise,
I did have the old owner say there could be some problems with the ball joint |

check the bearings. jack the rear up, place a stand under it so as to steady it. roll ur wheels and listen for any noise coming from the wheel. if its ok, there should be little or no noise. also grab the wheel in both hands at opposite sides and rock the tyre from side to side, there should be no movement. if there is, change ur bearings.

Tailshaft might be a fraction out of balance as well ... also tread depth on tyres can cause a rough sound ... if tread depth is low you can get a hum/roar from them. Depends on the type of tyres you have as well.

You may want to check that your rear brake discs arent slightly warped.

could be something in the diff, Falcons are known for diff howl/whine.
