Default My son packed his dack's

I took my son with me to see another forum member. His name will be kept anonymous, anyhow went to sale swap meet yesterday what a bunch of junk. After the swap meet went to see said forum member who then proceeded to show us his new toy WHAT A BEAST!!! 590 HP! We then got in the car and went for a drive absolutely awsome. As me being dad i got to sit in the front seat and said son sat in the back well after we finished our drive and parked the vehicle my 13 yr old son apologized to said forum member sorry about the stains on the backseat and said he would to get his backside out of the boot. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE. He now knows what horsepower is all about

yes Ringo, I have suffered with "Horsepower Hunger" since about the age of 11 when my dads mate took us for a ride in his 69 429 CJ mach1 mustang. I was dumbstruck at the sound,Gforce, speed, power and many more sensations unexplainable to me at that time. It was a ride that changed my life ! Ever since my all time favorite dream car is one of those beasts ! Have had the chance to buy many a mustang but they havent been what I wanted in one way or another . I will find one I am looking for one day ! :

Haha! I know that feeling all too well! While holidaying in America back in 97, I was only 11 then. We stayed with one of Mum's friends, whos husband had a mint condition 69 Camaro, 350, manual and by law, front seatbelts only!
After about a 10 minute hoon around back streets, I wondered where most of my organs and whatever was in them went.
I have been bitten

Warning - a Holden Story follows.

I was 17 when I was taken for a drive in a bright yellow VK Commodore which I was told was the ex Yokohama Tyre Test car (?!) - it was basically a registered race car. I was told had a Perkins Engineering 307 Chev, 5 speed, half a cage with racing seats. 13.5" discs on the front, and drank fuel like nothing else. I wonder now if some of it bits were same as Group C ??

I was taken up to Wonga Park in Melb where he drove it along a road he said he knew like the back of his hand...we were going (150kph to 180kph at night in Wonga Park...think rolling hills and windy roads) but this car was like nothing else I have experienced.

The noise, the G forces, and the composure of this car in braking, turning and then being able to powerslide out of a corner while being steered on the right foot when controlled by an experienced racer (he was an experienced race driver) was breathtaking. He got everything out of it.

I sat there laughing and thinking I was going to die....and when it was all over I was shaking...

Still didn't make me a Holden man though...

It educated me as to what cars can do when set up properly and that performance (for me) is the whole package, not just a set of rims, an exhaust and an attitude.

My first experience with a truley fast car wasn't in a V8, but I'm not too fussed...

7 years ago now, I was staying over at my aunt's (mum's younger sister) house. Her husband had a Porsche 968 Clubsport for a while and sold it, after that I didn't know what car he had. He was actually overseas at the time but had leant the (new) car to another relative. Well he brought it back, a black R33 Skyline GTS25t with... alot of mods. A low-11 sec car. And then I got taken for a drive in it. The way it pushed me into the back of my seat, the way it could get sideways even on a straight road, just everything... it was awesome (and I **** myself the first time lol). I've always want to have that feeling again. Only one car I've been in since has managed to replicate (and better) the experience, and that was the 600hp, roughly 1000-1100kg 911 Turbo that replaced that Skyline.

One day I want to own a car that fast.
