but in general a good wash should sort it with a gentle scrub with a MF cloth or detail brush. This is a common thing, for the next time it is always better to apply a trim detailer before the wax, this then allows for a protective film to be placed on the black plastics, then when applying the polish a step in time saves 9 just slow down a little near these area's to avoid any overlapping and if you do have a slight overlap simply wipe it straight of with a MF cloth and all should be good. To really get it black and shiny again, I use a silicon sponge I buy from the car wash for $2. I use it on all my trims, and my tyres, and it lasts for the lot.

I use Polyglaze dash and trim care inside and out it works well.

The problem with tyre shine etc is it doesn't actually remove the residue it just sits on top until it washes away & you're back where you started from.
They sell these blocks called Magic Eraser or something similar in supermarkets that work well, just make sure you don't use it on paint as they are much more abrasive then they feel. The other option is to use products that don't stain in the first place of course. |

MRJUCY, are they the little white blocks that look like sanding blocks? If so, those things are great, would deffinately reccomend them for around the home.

To get hardened polish off around indicators, door handles, rubbers, badges etc I use an old soft toothbrush works well, use lightly and the for plastics Mothers Back To Black works well for faded areas.

i have found tire shine (foam) works well. spray a little on and rub off with a dry, soft cloth. the first time i did this, i went a little crazy and did the mud spats, both wing mirrors, and the under windscreen plastic, it was sooooo shiny!!!!! i like shiny things.... : : :
ok ill stop now col
