Default Need to remove and replace AU Turbo engine on the Gold Coast. Also need AU Engine.

I am going to drive my Turbo AU to QLD on the 25 February and need to find someone who can supply and fit an AU engine, then go somewhere and get it tuned. I will be up there on the Gold Coast at Mermaid Waters from 25 Feb to 4 March so thats my window.

If anyone knows someone who can do this (or can let me do it with them) it would be great. I dont mind paying someone a cash fee or beer fee :baby bott if we do it in your backyard, and use your tools/hoist etc.... I did the last one at home, but had to pay $900 for the engine here in Dubbo - I know I can get cheaper engines in QLD.

Snortingboost - if you read this can you check your PM's.

Racecraft - if you read this (I cant PM you) can you give me a tip on who to talk to?

Any other ideas or suggestions on how we can make this happen would be appreciated.

Thanks to a couple of forum members the crisis has been averted.

I have a low K AU engine (cost $550) being delivered to a gold coast workshop and we will fit around the 28th Feb.

Cool.

I keep calling to the big blue trucks on ch 40 - NO RESPONSE.

The one that did respond was almost out of range before replying.

I will be going to Goondiwindi then east to the coast - best run from here.

Probably one of our (many) Kiwi drivers, it takes them a while to work out how to drive a UHF.

Yeah, I thought it might be. Also a lot safer than the Pacific hwy. Let me know what day and time your leaving Roy and I'll see which way I'm going.
