Default 40th anniversary GT and R-spec option

Looks like there IS a 40th anniversary GT. And an R-spec option too.
Tho, looks like there wont be any power upgrades

Looks excellent and like the odd one Ive seen customized already, but if there is no power upgrade on this then there almost wont be one untill Orion. Looks like they will go down the path of new names instead like this, Force 6 and Force 8 all with just mild visual changes.

My first impression is that the stripes look really good. I wonder what the interior is like.

It does look fantastic, but for such a momentus occasion I would have thought more than afew suspension cahnges, gold stripes and an oil cooler would have been in order.

Just reading the article. They decided not to use the redesigned super roo logo on this car so they can use it on a future model.

Disgrace, It should have at least had the 6 piston brakes and brembo rears, Maybe a different diff ratio and 10kw power increase. You could get 10kw with a K&N and Helix, 300kw GT. Why do they persisit with these let downs. So basically you get at GT that will just ride like a pig and create dash rattles from its way to stiff suspension that 90% of cars will never see a track

The car looks good............but

This is just another poor effort by Ford when they had an opportunity to produce a worthwhile vehicle.
I myself having owned a 30th Anniversary GT can see Ford still have not learnt their lesson and listened to what perspective buyers want.

In limited numbers despite the costs customers are going to pay the bigger dollars for something that is going to perform well and make them the big boy on the block.

My guess is, it will be as quick as a GTP if not slower in a straight line just as the EL GT was.

Wake up Ford......... You are missing opportunity after opportunity to get your product level with Holden/HSV because at the moment you are behind again.

looks fantastic, but i think they could have used this car as a sneak peak for what we are in for with orion.
like ford did with the T3.
and yes this car should only be made in manual only, in fact all FPV's should be manual.

In what way is a T3 a prelude to a BA XR8/GT?

Looks good but come on FPV, do something different. Look at the EB and EL GT's...completely different to any other Falcon at that time, especially the EL GT with the 'Darth Vader' grille. Couldnt they at least put flares on it that tie in with the rest of the bodykit!

As for engine upgrades, a company that big should be able to boost power up pretty easily without it costing too much.

The T3 motors for the first time were fully hand assembled, including motor builder signiture just like BA/F GT's.

what they could have done this time is use the orion motor and use a colour that will be available when the orion comes. Like when the T3 came out with Blueprint.

The difference between this and a GT is???

Some kings, koni's, whiteline bars, and some stripes geez, we're drawing out the originality and creative big guns here... It's hardly anything flash nor original.

Infact they have to rehash of glory days as it's the only marketing concept one can pull.. You cannot compare not market against an icon for which records stood for over 10 years.

What about the GT500 motor from US? Euro 4 emissions legal with over 500RWHP. All totally legal. It's goes into stangs and registered in calofornia - toughest emissions laws in US.... Now there would be a GT worthwhile...
