Hi,
Has anyone been to Ford to get a key programmed and told it can't be done due to a 'suspect' wiring problem? Just got back after a hour there and absolutely no progress. They said they would check out/try to fix the wiring which would take around 3 hours. (Which I am unable to do today) Seems to be that a small job is going to end up quite expensive. |

What would be required to fix the problem if it was a BEM problem / how much? Quote:
Was quoted over the phone at ~$90 per hour and it would be a half an hour job therefore making it around about half of that. Thanks for the replies so far. |

chances are it would be the bem, if that's the case they would need to program the key for the new bem anyway, but you'd really be better off getting another key before you get it done, otherwise if you get another one down the track you have to go through all this again, well taking it to ford to get it programmed anyway
