Default BA door trims on AU interior?

As the title suggest, can you put BA door trims on an AU falcon? :sm_headba

I posted something on the exact same subject a month or two ago.
1. They will fit probably.
2. The doors are the same
3. The BA's have a poxy cheap interior, that makes the AU's look good, so I left mine as is.

My ba xt interior is nicer looking than my AU interior, but its more plasticy. The door trims might fit but they won't match, and will look stupid. I think where the front door trim meets the dash will cause trouble.

wont those things under the mirror control conflict with the dash in the AU? that part that sticks out a bit.

the BA looks 1mil x better than the AU, but build quality of the AU as in the material of the dash is years in front of the BA..they didnt even fix it in BF or BFII

apparently the door trims are bolt on....fordmods.com had some guy install a BA dash chairs doortrim and mold a BA front bar on his AU

The BA and AU us different mounts/clips placement in the doors.

A guy on Fordmods has done it ... but he replaced the dash as well ... but the mounts had to be custom made.

I have just sent my door trims in to be retrimmed in leather ... cheaper then trying to mount different door trims that really don't bolt up/match with the rest of the interior.

The trims wont meet up with the AU dash properly they are a bit different where they meet the dash in side. Other than that the part numbers for the doors are the same from memory.

I would think the BA door trims won't mix well with the AU dash and will look silly.
