Well the AU has been going fine as per all the fords we have had up until now ......
It appears the head is leaking now i thought this early e-series issue was resolved with the AU and onwards engines ??? This is the TICKFORD VCT version as well. The other problem is the large puddle of Auto Trans fluid. that is on the ground. We cant tell if its the front or rear seal. the **** is eveywhere. Lucky its still under statutory (nsw) used car warranty. Has anyone else had issues with a leaky transmission or head gasket weep on an AU ? Not to mention the Auto sounds like a supercharger in first gear. yet my BA is whisper quiet. |

AU's doing heads are VERY rare. Have you got a history of this car?

the head problem was fixed in the AU2 so AU1 still had the crappy gasket and was prone to leak

Whats the difference in head gaskets between AU1 and AU2-3 ?
When we took the head off my bros car(AU1) it was a metal 3 layer gasket. |
