How good are the tyres? If they're brand new, or near new, and a decent brand, the tyres are worth around $150 each alone, so that's $600, plus the cost of the rims. The reality is, though, that for around $1000 you can get brand new 17s with cheap (but OK) rubber, which leaves the 16s at around $500 assuming that the rims have only a few/minor marks and the tyres are at least 80%.

I agree with JC, $400-$500 depending on the condition of the rims and the rubber.
