my car has ultras in the rear and ssl in the front, it was siting at the same hight even when the springs had setteled.
so i took it back and he can but ultras in the front but i cant get anythign lower then ultras in the rear cus they stoped making springs lower then ultras a while ago. fulcrum tried to get them but the manufactures said no they dont make them anymore. so his idea to drop the back is machine a ring hole in the koni shock to drop the rear. still having rake with the front for handleing etc. and once i get 245 insted of 225's it should make the car look lower cus the wheels will be in the guard more. i said to him can we cut the springs, he laughed and said no no no. can i cut the springs? does any 1 know how to get my car rediculously lower? i want the dif and exhaust to scrape on the road. yes i am crazy but its what i want.

u can ride on the bump stomps, we did it on my mates Baxr6 with 20's looked so tough, the rim was in the guard by like 3inches i would recommend this for show use but your crazy to drive on the road damage will be done im sure. The only thing you can do is cut one coil off each of the springs being there ultras right?? this will lower you another 15-20mm. But your car is gonna be a trampoline and bounce like hell if you can handle it do it. Can you post me a pic of your car with Supers in the front and ultra in the back i wanna do it to my car as well.

the rear sits to high, i know that when i get 245 treads it will move up in the guard and make it look a little lower. yea irs at rear

yeah i see what you mean, mines sittng lower than that thanks to 2x12's and huge box. i actually need to lower the front mine to even it out but dont wanna go past super on the front.

Send the springs back to the manufacture, and get them "reset" to a lower height, King springs do this. A mate did this with his Suzuki Swift, it was around a 4.5-5inch drop. Extremely low, tyre and rim deep in the guard. Cost about $200.

just install some amps and subs in the boot, that will bring it down a bit. Or if thats not your thing, a few bags of concrete would work

Are you nuts? Your car looks great and you're going to stuff it if it goes any lower. You'll never get insurance, you'll be forever patching up fibreglass and if you have any teeth left after the bone crunching ride, you'll be lucky.

the reason they won't make them any lower is they don't want to be sued when something breaks at speed and kills someone. Although there is an acceptable margin for modification if you go outdide this it is dangerous without major engineering mods to compensate we are talking a complete redesign of the suspension. if you cut the springs ( Highly illegal) and anything happens, if you are real lucky the damage you cause willm only bankrupt you if someone is killed as a result of dangerous modifications say hello long bay hilton so think twice this is serious stuff

Out of curiosity, and sorry to hijack, but what is it about cutting springs that is so dangerous? Not interested in doing it, just curious.

the suspension is engineered to sit on a length of spring steel it is not the coil height that it is engineered to suit but the overall length of spring steel

Lowering looks great for a show car, but is a continuing pain if its your regular ride.
I un-lowered the wagon when I first got it. Well, the back suspension anyway because it was a straight forward un-bolt/rebolt job. The front is still raked down. I have to approach and exit my home driveway on a angle. Soon or later I will wear through the bottom of the front bumper. Forget the limbo dance, spend the dough on performance or comfort enhancements. :
